Yogyakarta – Bhabinkamtibmas Keparakan Aipda Pitaya saw students crying who had just arrived at the Pujokusuman Elementary School, Keparakan Village, Mergangsan District, Yogyakarta, when they were escorted by their parents who were about to vaccinate against Covid-19 stage 2, Thursday (3/2/) afternoon.
Bhabinkamtibmas Keparakan finally swiftly approached a student named Bima and took the initiative to divert the children's fear of being injected with vaccines by holding him.
In addition to Bhabinkamtibmas, head of binmas the Mergangsan Police, Iptu Mayar, also assisted, confirming that when a student rebelled and cried while being vaccinated.
"We as assistants also provide understanding to these students so that the fear disappears," said Iptu Mayar.
Head of binmas announced that the target of 176 students taking vaccinations includes students in grades 1 – 6. Of this number, 163 students attended, 158 students were vaccinated, 5 students were delayed.
"Involving eight health workers from the Mergangsan District Health Center, Yogyakarta also assistance from the Mergangsan Police," explained Iptu Mayar.
Meanwhile, the school teachers and guardians of Pujokusuman Elementary School expressed their gratitude because of appreciation to the alertness of the police, amount of children managed to divert fear during the vaccination process so that the vaccination went quickly and smoothly.
